Prevent hiring unqualified people who falsify or exaggerate resumes. An even worse problem is the hiring of decision-makers, or those who manage your assets, whose histories are incompatible with your company's integrity, reputation, or safety.
Detecting resume fraud, criminal convictions and past terminations is critical to a sound personnel program. It reduces operational risk before and after the hire. This is especially so in the case of candidate or incumbent executives, of personnel handling sensitive intellectual property or corporate finances, or simply workers engaged in potentially volatile or sensitive jobs.
Inquesta is directed by an experienced former Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) and U.S. Foreign Service agent who performed and managed a variety of cases, from delicate U.S. presidential appointment background investigations to the more routine national security pre-employment investigations for the F.B.I. and other national security agencies.
Our international network of experienced former U.S. agents, or foreign law enforcement officers, is the backbone of EBI services. We assure objectivity through strict supervision and a quality control re-verification process.
Inquesta provides peace of mind about the integrity of applicants through our extended background investigations (EBI) that include three levels:
- Background checks through our KYC Solutions (Know Your Crew) division. This starts an EBI, comparing the KYC report to resume claims, and providing leads for street EBI investigations.
- Live Scan fingerprint-based background checks that return FBI "rap sheets" that uncover an individual's criminal history that may not be discoverable otherwise.
- Extended background investigations are as full-scoped background investigations to verify the identities of potential and current hires, validate professional and academic credentials, and uncover character issues that may impact job performance. We bypass reliance on applicant-provided references and history; instead, we throughly research open-source intelligence (OSINT) and social networks; and we focus on time gaps, omitted jobs, and developed sources. That is, we mimic the U.S. Government's vetting process for people seeking or holding sensitive positions that require security clearances.
